On October 16th, the University of Sevilla hosted a seminar dedicated to the role of datasets in humanities research, organized collaboratively by three international projects: Género, imagen y materialidad en la cultura literaria de la modernidad (1880s–1930s) (PID2022-137613NB-I00, MICIU/AEI/FEDER), Cinema and Environment 2: Ways of Seeing Beyond the Anthropocene (PID2023-152989NB-I00, MCIN/AEI), and The Mother Tongue: Textuality, Authority and Community in the Post-Teresian Reform Female Monasticism (ca.1560–1700) (National Science Centre, Poland, no. 2020/39/D/HS2/00902).

The event featured presentations by Patricia Illana and Daniel Montes (CENTRA) on dataset creation and publication, followed by Flavie Fouchard discussing how to publish research data on Zenodo. Then, Isabel Clúa explored how datasets can be integrated into philological and cultural history projects.

The seminar concluded with a roundtable featuring Isabel Clúa, Flavie Fouchard, Júlia Lewandowska, and Katarzyna Paszkiewicz, highlighting the importance of open data practices in literary and cultural studies.
